GoRev Administrative Permissions and Groups Tutorial
Welcome to the GoRev Administrative Permissions and Groups Tutorial. In this tutorial, we will focus on the process of Navigating the Permission and Group features as an Administrator in GoRev.
Note: If you need assistance with a particular portion of this tutorial, please use the Table of Contents on the left hand side of this screen to navigate to the topic that you require.
1 : Navigating to the Permissions and Groups Window
To begin, click on the “Permissions” button located in the System Management section of the Admin Toolbar.
2 : Creating a New User Group
At this point, the Permissions and Groups window will appear on your device. In the event that you would like to Create a New User Group, first, begin by clicking on the “New” button in the Security Groups section of this window.
3 : Entering Group Name and Description
After the Add New Group window becomes visible, please enter the Group Name and Description into the corresponding fields provided.
Selecting the Super Admin Checkbox
Now, if you would like the new User Group to only be accessible to Super Admins, please click on the Super Admin Checkbox provided.
4 : Saving the New Group
5 : Defining Group Permissions
Now, in order to Define the Permissions for the newly created User Group, begin by selecting the group from the Security Groups List on your screen.
6 : Selecting the Required Group Permissions
7 : Adding a New Permission to the System
If you need to Add a New Permission to the system, first, begin by clicking on the “New” button in the Permissions area of this window.
8 : Entering Permission Name and Description
After the Add New Permission window becomes visible, please enter the Permission Name and Description into the fields provided.
Selecting the Conflicting Checkbox
In the instance that the New Permission conflicts with an existing permission, please select the Conflicting checkbox on your screen.
9 : Saving the New Permission
Now, in order to finalize the creation of the New Permission, click on the “Save Permission” button in this window.
10 : Using the Search Field
At this point, the Newly Created Permission will be present in the Permissions List of the Permissions and Groups window. If you have difficulty locating the Newly Created Permission, please use the Search Field in this window to aid in your search.
11 : Altering Group's Description
In the event that you need to Alter an Existing Group’s Description, first, begin by selecting the Group that you require from the Security Groups List on your screen.
Then, click on the “Edit Group” button in this window and Edit the Group Description to your satisfaction.
12 : Deleting Groups
In addition to Editing Existing Groups, you, also, have the ability to Delete Groups from the GoRev system. To begin, click on the Required Group in the Security Groups section of the Permissions and Groups window.
Then, click “Delete”.
13 : Editing and Deleting Permissions
Lastly, if you need to Edit the Description of or Delete a Selected Permission from the system, please use the “Delete” and “Edit Description” buttons in the Permissions area of this window to make the necessary changes.
