GoRev Distribution of Patient Test Results via the Portal

This guide will describe how this system works as well as the common configuration you can change as a client. In order to utilize this system you will need to contact ask@gorev.com or submit a ticket asking for it to be implemented on your server.

Once implemented this system will automatically notify patients when their test results are ready to be viewed via email or text. The notifications go out immediately after a file has been uploaded into patient overview with a file category configured in the Lookup Table FileCategoriesAutoSendToPortal. If a patient has not registered for the portal a portal registration text or email is sent as well.

Configuring File Categories and uploading results

You can configure which file categories are set to automatically send to the patient portal and notify the patient by going to the Admin tab –> Configuration –> Lookup Tables –> Select FileCategoriesAutoSendToPortal. Form here click on New Item and populate the value and Description with the name of the file category.

If this is a brand new file category (you'll know because you won't be able to select it when uploading files into Patient Overvie) you will need to configure it in the lookup list FileCategories as well.

Uploading Results into Patient Overview

Uploading of test results happens the exact same way you would upload any file into Patient Overvew. First, click the Upload button

Select the file(s) you want to upload, check on each item, click Set Category, and specify the file category you have setup as auto send to portal

IMPORTANT Patients must have at least one phone number specified as their mobile device and have at least the registration and clinical communication preferences checked on in order for the patient to receive text or email messages from the system.

  • Text within the body of the notice
  • Subject of the email

Below is what a text notification to a patient looks like. You can submit a ticket to GoRev requesting changes to the

  • Text of the actual message
  • Logo to be used in the message link preview
